PLANTS FOR FOLIAGE EFFECT

To make your landscape more interesting, it is nice to incorporate different types of foliage.  The following list will provide you with various options to add form and texture to your landscape.

CARE:  Poor soils will need to be amended with compost or aged manure and peat moss.  Fertilizer application (preferably an organic such as Dr. Earth or Whitney Farms) should be in the early spring and again in early summer.  Most plants prefer a full sun to light shade location.  If a plant does not receive enough light it will become leggy and tend to sprawl.
